mBot2: Next-Generation STEM Coding Robot (Powered by CyberPi & ESP32)

Overview

Meet mBot2—an advanced, next-generation educational robot designed to take STEM learning and hands-on coding from beginner blocks to sophisticated Python programming. Powered by the CyberPi microcontroller (driven by a powerful ESP32 dual-core wireless processor), mBot2 bridges the gap between simple visual play and real-world AI, IoT, and robotics engineering.

Unlike traditional entry-level robots, mBot2 features precise encoder motors for accurate movement, an array of built-in sensors, and full Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for seamless wireless control and Internet of Things (IoT) projects.

Key Features & Highlights

• Brainstormed by ESP32: Equipped with the CyberPi main module featuring an Xtensa® 32-bit LX6 dual-core processor (240 MHz), providing robust performance for complex logic and AI applications.

• Wireless Connectivity: Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enable wireless programming, multi-device interaction, and cloud-based IoT projects.

• Precision Encoder Motors: Go beyond basic differential drive. The DC encoder motors allow you to control speed, angle, and distance precisely for repeatable, accurate maneuvers.

• Interactive CyberPi Screen: Features a full-color IPS display, onboard speaker, microphone, light sensor, gyroscope, and accelerometer—turning the controller itself into an interactive tool.

• Smart mBuild Ecosystem: Easily expand your setup using mBuild ports to connect ultrasonic sensors, quad RGB color sensors, extra servos, and more than 20 compatible modules.
